Are you looking for a good audiobook or e-book and you want to get started listening/reading now? Then you’re in the right article because I have collected six places where you can either listen to, or read, an audio/e-book, and the best part is that you try the different services for free.

Two of the services only have audiobooks, but the remaining offers both audio- and e-books.

Audiobooks

Audiobooks

Audiobooks is an international service for audiobooks. Here you can find more than 125.000 different audiobooks (which means that they don’t offer e-books). The majority of the audiobooks are on English, but you can also find audiobooks on other languages (e.g. German, French, Spanish etc.) if you are interested.

The service offers one optional audiobook a month, but in return you will have the audiobook forever. You can get a 30-day free trial at Audiobooks, which means that you will get the first audiobook completely free.

Price: around £11-12 a month (get a 30-day free trial)

Audible

Audible

Audible, like Audiobooks, is an international service for audiobooks with endless books. It is probably the word’s greatest streaming service for audiobooks, with tons of bestsellers. Audible, like Audiobooks, only offers audiobooks (and the majority are on English).

You can try Audible 30-day free trial with no binding. Thereafter, it costs around £7.99 a month and works in the same way as Audiobooks. After the free trial period it is even cheaper than Audiobooks.

Price: £7.99 a month (get a 30-day trial).

Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Unlimited is another streaming service from Amazon; however, Kindle Unlimited works in a slightly different way. With a monthly subscription you get unlimited access to all of their audio-, e-books, and magazines. But you wont have access to your chosen books as soon as you cancel your subscription.

The price is around the same as Audible. You can try Kindle Unlimited completely free for 30 days. After than, you can evaluate if it is something you want.

BookBeat

BookBeat

BookBeat is the last real audiobook streaming service. BookBeat works the same way as Kindle Unlimited, which means that with a monthly subscription you get unlimited access to their many audio- and e-books.

BookBeat costs £12.90 a month, so it is the most expensive among these streaming services, but you can choose to get a free trial for 14 days, where you can evaluate if it’s worth the money.
