Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
In the first book of the series we meet the orphan boy, Harry Potter, who lives with his uncle, aunt, and their son. Harry is not like the other kids. On his 11th birthday he finds out that he is a wizard, has gotten accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and that the evil wizard Lord Voldemort killed his parents. During his first year at the school he also finds out that Voldemort is regaining his powers. Harry and his friends therefore have to prevent Voldemort in finding the Philosopher’s Stone, which can give Voldemort eternal life.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
In the second novel we follow Harry on his second year at Hogwarts. Here, a series of messages begins showing up on the school’s walls, where it says that “The Chamber of Secrets” has been opened, and that one of “Slytherin’s heirs” will kill all half-blood wizards. These messages are followed by attacks. Harry and his friends, Ron and Hermione, spend the year investigating these attacks, which leads them to get tangled in a gloomy mystery about a secret chamber and its cruel monster.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The extremely dangerous prisoner Sirius Black escapes the wizard prison Azkaban, and a person as dangerous as he, forces the Ministry of Magic to involve the muggle world. The situation is especially dangerous for Harry Potter, since the prisoner is coming for Harry. Therefore, Harry has to stay inside Hogwarts given it is the only place that he is safe. But even though he is safe there, the third year on the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry won’t be easy, and once again Harry and his friends have to deal with black magic.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
In the fourth book it is time for the Quidditch World Cup, which is the preferred sport in the magic world. But what begins, as a cheerful event for wizards and witches all over the world is the beginning of a series of dramatic incidents, which could indicate that Voldemort is regaining his powers. The famine atmosphere follows Harry and his friends on their fourth year at Hogwarts, and something imply that the challenges to come, might be more than what Harry is up to.
Harry and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry is desperate to return to Hogwarts after a horrible summer with the Dursley Family, and to find out why both Ron and Hermione haven’t tried to contact him over the summer. It appears that people have been busy trying to restore the secret order, the Order of the Phoenix — an order that was made during Voldemort’s rise, and which now is restored with the single purpose of keeping Harry safe from Voldemort. It appears to be an interesting fifth year for Harry on Hogwarts.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry spend the first weeks of his summer holiday lying in bed, grieving over the death of his godfather Sirius, as well as the fight with the death eaters and Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic. As a result, Harry is waiting for Dumbledore in the hope that he might give him some answers as to why there is a link between Voldemort and himself. He can’t wait to get away from Privat Drive; maybe because he doesn’t know what is waiting for him out there, where the war between the good and the evil has begun, and where Voldemort is back with all his strength.
Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows
In the last book of J.K. Rowling’s amazing universe, we finally get the final battle between the famous wizard: Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. In the book, harry is on a very dangerous, gloomy, and almost impossible task: he has to find and destroy Voldemort’s last Horcruxes, so that the world won’t be a dark and horrible place to be in. Together with Ron and Hermione they begin the hunt, but they have no idea where they should start looking, and they don’t have a lot of time because Voldemort is also looking for Harry.
